Focus on Happiness

When was the last time you were happy?

Did you know, being happy motivates success. It may not be easy at times finding that happiness, however, it is not impossible.

I know you are always probably running around trying to get tasks done to keep structure, but don’t forget that your happiness counts too! Without happiness, as mentioned before, we wouldn’t strive for success on a daily basis. It encourages a person to be more productive at work, home, school and even the social life.

You also need happiness in order to maintain relationships. If you think about it, supportive people want to be around other supportive and positive people because it motivates them to keep going as oppose to just doing it because you have to.

*Avoidance- There are times when a person may not feel comfortable talking about their situation and or they may avoid places that potentially remind them of the trauma.

*Negative changes in mood- Some people with experience the feeling of hopelessness and struggle with maintaining close relationships, due to closing off on emotions.

*Emotional reaction- Others may experience restlessness at night, the feeling of always being in danger and or easily startled.

Goals can be used for short term use and long term use. There is no specific limit to them, however, they should be SMART:

SPECIFIC

MEASURABLE

ATTAINABLE

RELEVANT

TIMELY

AN EXAMPLE OF A SHORT TERM GOAL THAT IS SMART IS:

AFTER 2 WEEKS OF STARTING MY GOAL, I WILL SAVE $300 FOR MY CAR INSURANCE THAT IS DUE THE FIRST OF THE MONTH.

AN EXAMPLE OF A LONG TERM GOAL THAT IS SMART IS:

AFTER SAVING $1000 EVERY 3 MONTHS, I WILL HAVE AT LEAST $4000 IN THE BANK FOR A RAINY DAY.

SETTING GOALS ISN’T IMPOSSIBLE, BUT APPLYING THE COMMITMENT CAN BE. DON’T GIVE UP, FINISH THE GOAL AND CREATE NEW ONES.

UNITY

HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF UNITY?

In relationships with s/o, friends and or family, it is vital to be together. Research shows, that unity is a key component to survival.

When there is unity, there is peace. Having that unbreakable bond, allows one to learn more about others and themselves. It is a positive way to build relationships and be more accepting to others as well as understanding. At some point, everyone wants to feel loved and appreciated and that can be the perfect way to start.

ANGER MANAGEMENT

DO YOU HAVE A TRIGGER?

When you get angry, have you found yourself losing patience? Are your efforts considered good enough or do yo feel as if it is underappreciated? These are very common symptoms of anger and can lead to long term problems.

Anger is not a one time feeling. If a person is experiencing anger issues, it has a pattern and is not always expressive.

*Patterns are not always expressive because one can become inward aggressive, leading to isolation. This means he/she can wake up one day ignoring people and then the next day, he/she refuses to respond.

Built up anger can become toxic to the body over a period of time, so if you know someone who may have frequent outbursts, try encouraging counseling.

With untreated anger, you’ll eventually start to see a cycle of behavior that can overall, affect relationships.
